DBS Online Webinar Training with Thirtyone:eight

As part of their service to the Diocese, Thirtyone:eight (formerly known as CCPAS), with whom the Diocese of Chester has partnered to provide its Disclosure and Barring Service, offer an annual webinar/online training session onto which we can register up to 40 participant places.  This year it will take place via Zoom on WEDNESDAY 13TH MAY 2026, 10.00am-12.30pm.

This Webinar will provide an overview for parish lead recruiters (and additional recruiters with full access), including Safer Recruitment, DBS checks, and how to process these, ID checking and eligibility for a check.

To reach as many parishes as possible, places will firstly be allocated to parish lead recruiters or additional recruiters with (joint) full access on a first come, first served basis and initially to only one person per parish.

Any remaining spaces will then be offered to lead recruiters or addtional recruiters with full access in parishes where there is more than one registered with the diocese and thirtyone:eight, if they have expressed their interest in this event.

Places are offered on a first come, first served basis, and we ask that you only book a place if you can make the online training at the specified date and time above.

Those interested in attending this online webinar/training event, should register their interest by email as soon as possible to Maxine Southwick titling the email as 31:8 DBS Webinar/online training, and including in the email details of your name, parish and contact email address.  Once registered you will be emailed a Zoom link, to attend the online training.

Should all the spaces not be filled, we will then open any remaining spaces, to parishes who have  additional recruiters (ID checkers). Again, this will be on a first come first served basis.
