Part-time Incumbent
St Nicholas, Burton and St Michael, Shotwick
We are seeking a part-time incumbent for this rural benefice of central church tradition near the cathedral city of Chester. The post is for Sunday duties plus 3½ days per week in return for a 50% stipend. There are strong links with the church school, and committed and supportive lay leadership. An excellent modern house is provided.
We need a leader who will:
Build on opportunities in our relationship with our local communities and CofE primary school, thereby work to expand and grow our churches.
Provide oversight and encouragement to Burton’s Children and Family worker, and work collaboratively with them and our Junior Church team.
Nurture the spiritual growth of individuals and the congregations, helping us to deepen our relationship with Christ and grow in faith together.
Find joy in enabling people to worship in both traditional and modern services and encourage our congregations to live out our Christian faith in everyday life.
Provide leadership on Safeguarding with the support of the PSO.
Support, lead and inspire our congregations.
