Exploring community outreach

Some things to consider with your community outreach
Our ‘missional reach’ is largely dependant on how large a ‘fringe’ a church has, which is often down to what community projects churches run, such as parent & toddler groups, food banks, etc.
The prime aim of these projects may well not be to grow a church’s fringe, but all contact with those outside the church does this
Things to think about:
Intentionality

Are our projects/ministries intentional, or are they ‘historical’ (what we’ve always done)?
Effectiveness

Are our endeavours effective in what they set out to do?
Opportunities

Do we make the most of the missional opportunities our projects provide (without them becoming ‘bait & switch’ events)?
More? or Less?

Is there more that we could be doing (or should we be doing less - but better)?
