Discipleship

Growing Disciples 1.jpg

Our Core Purpose

At the heart of the Diocese of Chester is a simple yet profound calling: to be disciples who make disciples. Everything we do—whether in our parishes, our schools, or our chaplaincies—flows from this purpose. We seek to create opportunities for people to encounter Jesus Christ in a real and transformative way. This means walking alongside Christians on their discipleship journey, offering support, encouragement, and resources so that faith can grow and flourish.

Our vision is not only to nurture existing believers but to invite the 1.5 million who have no engagement with a church, into the life-changing experience of knowing Jesus and living as His followers.
