Revitalising our deaneries, so that they have more devolved ability to shape and manage mission and ministry within their area, is at the heart of our Diocesan strategy.
We are consulting the whole diocese about these proposals.
Consultation started on 21 Aug and will run until 28 Sep 2026.

Taking part in the consultation
You will be able to contribute to the consultation as an Individual, or on behalf of a PCC, School, Chaplaincy, Chapter, or Deanery Synod.
You can submit a response a part of the consultation in three ways:

Many Deaneries, Chapters and PCCs are planning to meet in September to discuss the proposals. Resources to support your discussion can be found on the Consultation Materials page.

If you need more information, then we will be holding three online meetings where you can hear more about the proposals and ask questions.
