Could your church become a ‘Pilgrim Place’?

Any church, in any context, can become a ‘Pilgrim Place’ – that is a welcoming, peaceful, safe space which offers time to relax and reflect. They may be on an existing pilgrimage route or walking trail; they may want to develop their own trails; or they may just want to find fresh ways to welcome visitors and local people.

Working with partners, Faith in the North have developed a new set of easy-to-use resources. These encourage visitors to explore church buildings and other sites, to engage with the stories they tell, and so enhance their own journey through life. These include:

• Free ‘Being a Pilgrim’ Prayer Cards

• Trails for use in churches

• Pilgrim Place signage

• Resources for children & young people to engage with your building

• Toolkit of Ideas to help you use your building to welcome visitors

This online webinar gives church leaders a chance to hear about the resources, ask questions and find out how their church can become a Pilgrim Place.
