This session is aimed at helping clergy to demystify financial matters and to think about planning for their financial future no matter how far they may be from retirement. The speakers will address clergy benefits and personal financial planning matters and discuss issues that face many clergy over their ministry.

The importance of planning ahead
General financial planning hints and tips (budgeting, claiming allowances, having an emergency fund, the importance of Wills and powers of attorney
Housing options including buying property (or remortgaging) during ministry.
Understanding the state pension and options for saving more for retirement and understanding what to do with any non-church pensions.
Protecting the family
Saving & investing hints and tips including tax on pensions & investments and tax efficiency, investment risks and ethical investment options
Inheritance Tax issues
