DBS Check Provider & Data Security

Diocese of Chester response to data breach involving APCS, a provider used by various organisations—including some within the Church of England—for carrying out DBS background checks.

We understand this news may be concerning, particularly for those who have undergone DBS checks through their parish roles.

 

We want to reassure you that the Diocese of Chester does not use APCS for DBS processing. We work with a different provider, and there is no indication that our systems or your personal data have been affected by this breach.
