College of Canons

The following were licenced and installed at the Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary at Chester during Evensong on Sunday 1st February at 3pm.

The Revd Sarah Anne Lawson, Vicar, Acton (St Mary) and Worleston, Church Minshull and Wettenhall, Honorary Canon in the seat dedicated to St Aiden. Mr John Murray, Chancellor of the Diocese of Chester, Honorary Lay Canon in the seat dedicated to St Dunstan for a term of 5 years. The Revd Dr Gill Reeve, Senior University Chaplain and Dean of Chapel at the University of Chester as a Minor Canon for a term of 5 years.
