Manifesto for Hope

Around 100 civic leaders, senior faith representatives, and partners from across health and social care came together in a spirit of unity to celebrate the launch of the Manifesto for Hope for the Liverpool City Region.
Joined by the Bishop of Birkenhead, Julie Conalty, the gathering, hosted by Churches Together in the Merseyside Region (CTMR) in partnership with Together Liverpool, was positive and significant. The event marked a proud milestone in the Faith in the City 40th-anniversary programme, highlighting a shared commitment to hope, collaboration, and the wellbeing of communities across the region.
Shaped through conversations with local communities and experienced practitioners, the Manifesto outlines nine shared priorities for creating a fairer, more compassionate Liverpool City Region where everyone can thrive. These priorities include promoting equality, strengthening cohesive and caring communities, addressing loneliness, supporting fair and ethical employment, and encouraging courageous, transparent leadership.

Together Liverpool and CTMR are inviting churches, faith groups, community projects and partner organisations to:
Read the Manifesto and use it as a starting point for prayer, reflection, and discussion
Share it widely within their networks
Explore how they can commit to one or more of its priorities in their own context
Supporters are also encouraged to make a pledge, committing to take action aligned with any of the nine priorities once they have read the Manifesto.
