We are seeking a part-time priest-in-charge for this semi-rural benefice of central church tradition near the cathedral city of Chester. The post is for Sunday duties plus 2½ days per week in return for a 25% stipend and a well-appointed parsonage. There are strong links with the church school, and committed and supportive lay leadership.
We need a leader who will:
Lead us, through prayer, teaching and worship, to be better followers of Jesus
Work with others to build up the church through recognising where God is at work in the world and in the lives of others.
Encourage the congregation in living out their faith in everyday life, not just on a Sunday
Provide leadership on Safeguarding and encourage all to contribute toward creating a safer Church.
Work closely with our Church of England Primary School
Work with the whole team to reach out and get more people walking through our doors and becoming a part of God’s family.
Be happy to enter into village life and become recognised as a respected, involved and accessible member of our community.
