Free Funding Database Resource

The Dioceses of Manchester, Chester, Leeds and Blackburn (4 Communities) have developed a free funding database.


The Funding Portal is open to churches in the Dicoese of Chester and enables parishes to:

  • Browse a wide range of grants available for your church and partner organisations (such as schools or groups that hire your premises)

  • Access a portal that is updated in real time and refreshed daily

  • Save time by quickly identifying funding streams for your projects

  • Receive tailored email alerts highlighting relevant funding opportunities

  • Secure funding more effectively

  • Share your funding successes to inspire others


Two training session are being offered to help churches use the service:


How to register and effectively use the free Open4Community grant search portal

Thursday 12 February at 7 p.m. via Teams

Once you have attended the training, churches can have a free half-hour online consultation meeting to ensure that you have registered correctly and you are receiving the results you need to identify funders for your next mission and ministry project. 


How to write a successful application for external funding

Thursday 19 February at 7 p.m. via Teams

Training on 'How to write a successful application for external funding' is also provided every three or four months across Manchester, Chester, Leeds, and Blackburn dioceses.
