From little acorns

ACORN isn’t just a programme; it’s a spiritual discipline that helps you respond to God’s prompting to reach out.

Vincent Donovan once wrote in Christianity Rediscovered: “We make the mistake, as Christians, of thinking we are taking God with us into any given situation.” The truth? God is already there. Our calling is to notice what He’s doing and join the conversation He’s already having in our communities.

Through ACORN, you’ll learn to pray daily: “Lord, today is there someone you want me to connect with outside the church?” And then act on His leading! Alongside this daily rhythm, you’ll meet regularly with others to share stories and encourage one another as you see God at work.

This introduction to ACORN runs over four one-hour sessions in January 2026. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to grow in courage and confidence in sharing God’s mission in their own context. The pilot group will include up to six people—pioneers who can help others embrace this practice in the future.
