Nothing like I expected, ... and so much more.

Emma from St Mary's, Nantwich talks about her journey
Emma Kennedy went on the Foundations for Ministry course this year as part of the group meeting in Church Lawton. Emma works for Age UK Cheshire and is part of the congregation at St Mary's Nantwich, involved in the youth work and as Sacristan and Head Server. She says
"I would recommend the FfM course to anyone wishing to develop a deeper understanding of their life in faith and the ways God is calling each of us to serve. The two blocks – Together in Christ and Sharing Hope dovetail one another well and help paint the bigger picture of our Christian faith, purpose and mission.
The teaching was excellent but the standout part for me in terms of learning was the discussion group. The fellowship, through studying, praying, worshiping and reflecting with one another helped us all learn more about our lives in Christ.
FfM helped me to find the words to express how the Holy Spirit is working within me. At the beginning of the course, I naively assumed it would help me find answers to my questions, but I find myself exploring my personal calling to serve in ways I hadn’t anticipated. I am excited to see where God is working in my life and how I can be of service. FfM helped to open that door."
