Notice of Appointment

The Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary at Chester: Honorary Canons


After consultation with the Cathedral Chapter, the Bishop of Chester has appointed the following to the named canonries:

 

The Revd Sarah Anne Lawson, Vicar, Acton (St Mary) and Worleston, Church Minshull and Wettenhall to be Honorary Canon in the seat dedicated to St Aidan. 

 

The Revd Lyndon Russell Bannon, Non-Stipendiary Minister, Willaston (Christ Church) to be Honorary Canon in the seat dedicated to Thomas Wilson.

 

The Revd Christina Phoebe Upton, Rector, Chester (Holy Trinity Without the Walls) to be Honorary Canon in the seat dedicated to St Monica.

 

The Bishop of Chester will license and the Dean of Chester install Lyndon Bannon and Tina Upton at the Cathedral Church of Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary at Chester during Evensong on Sunday 12 October 2025 at 3pm.

 

There will be a service of licensing and installation for Anne Lawson at a later date yet to be arranged.
