Partners in Congo Update

Tear Fund's Regional Director for East and Central Africa, Hebdavi Kyeya is coming to the monthly evening Engage event at All Saints, Marple on Sunday 15 June. His home country is the Democratic Republic of Congo which may be of interest to those in our diocese who support our link with Aru and Bongo

Associate Minister, Revd Lesley Currie explains: "Engage is a monthly, evening service at All Saints' Church, Marple, where we worship, pray and learn together in a relaxed and interactive environment. For our June Engage we will be joined by Hebdavi Kyeya who is Regional Director for Tearfund, East and Central Africa (DRC, Burundi, CAR, Ethiopia, South Sudan & Rwanda). Heb will be speaking into how churches are responding in difficult areas and about what good is happening. There will also be an opportunity for a Q&A and for us to respond in prayer together.

"Chester Diocese is linked to the Anglican Dioceses of Aru and Boga in DRC and so we would love to welcome all to join us to hear more about the work of Tearfund in this area of Africa.

"We always begin our Engage services with refreshments and pizza so to assist with numbers for catering, if you know you are planning on coming along, please sign up here."

Location: All Saints' Church, Marple, SK6 7LD
