Writing the journeys we never wanted to make

Chester Cathedral's Poet Emeritus, Julia McGuinness has recorded a podcast about her new book which explores the power of journalling as a healing tool. She's been in conversation with Peter Mackriell, Head of Counselling for Chester Diocese.

Julia McGuinness is a well-known face in Chester Diocese, as a licensed lay reader at Chester Cathedral, writer, workshop facilitator and poet. Her previous publications include Writing our Faith and a Poetry Collection, Chester City Walls. Her new book, Writing the Journeys We Never Wanted to Make is a guide to journalling for resilience.

The book offers a wide range of exercises, suggestions and advice that will help those who follow it to find their authentic self through the written word and apply these newly found tools to everyday challenges.
