Bubble Church Christening at St Paul's, Stalybridge
Since St Paul's, Stalybridge started their monthly Bubble Church services in January 2024 they have built a group of families who regularly attend, with new families coming along to join every time. On Sunday 15th March 2026, they celebrated their first christening.

"It was a joyous occasion, with plenty of opportunities for children and adults to join in with the liturgy and lively worship. The training video and resources pack provided by Bubble Church is really good. The pack includes booklets for the worship leader, parents and godparents, baptism certificates and laminated signs for the Bubble Church bags. We used the story about the baptism of Jesus before Bobby's baptism. His sister and brother were able to take part by holding up the signs for the communal responses and all the children enjoyed looking in their bags to see if they had the items which Emma needed: a small bottle of oil, a bottle of water, a cloth and the baptism candle.
"It is lovely to see whole families attending, with dads and grandparents enthusiastically joining in with the liturgy and action songs. Our Youth and Junior Church children are an invaluable part of our team, helping to lead the service, organise the IT and operating the puppets.
"Some of the new families now attend other services and we get regular reports of children 'playing Bubble Church' with their toys, teaching them how to welcome God and say Amen. We often include some Bubble Church liturgy in our All Age services and lots of volunteers come to the front if we sing one of our action songs!"
