Bishop leads Motorbike Rideout

Bishop leads Motorbike Rideout

Over the Easter weekend, the Bishop of Chester, Mark Tanner, led a scenic motorcycle ride through the picturesque lanes and villages of Cheshire.

The ride was organised to raise funds for the Biking Bishops Biking Mission Fund, which provides motorbikes to clergy in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These bikes are essential for delivering education, nursing, midwifery, and other vital services to communities that are otherwise difficult to reach.

Just $1,000 is enough to put a brand-new motorbike on the road. Last year, generous donations totaling £6,000 enabled the purchase of eleven bikes for the Diocese of Chester’s linked dioceses, Aru and Boga. Since then, a further £6,900 has been raised and contributions are still coming in, raising hopes that even more bikes can be provided this year.
