Growing towards gold in West Kirby
As we celebrate Creation Season and the 10th anniversary of the Eco Church scheme, we're pleased to highlight the inspiring work of St Bridget's Church, West Kirby, a Silver Eco Church that is now working towards its Gold Award.
Through a range of initiatives that care for God's creation, the church is demonstrating how environmental action can be woven into the life and mission of a parish.
This year marks a significant milestone for the Eco Church scheme, which celebrates its tenth birthday. Run by A Rocha UK, Eco Church provides churches with a practical framework and a series of awards that help congregations place care for God's creation at the heart of their worship, mission, buildings, land, and community engagement.

Creation Season is an ideal time for churches to sign up to Eco Church or to renew and deepen their existing commitment to creation care.

Our Diocesan Eco Church Network also meets regularly online to pray for creation, share ideas, discuss practical environmental action, and celebrate the many ways churches are caring for the environment across the diocese.
