Churchwarden’s Training Day - A great success
The Archdeacons were delighted to welcome Churchwardens from across the Diocese to a training day at St John’s Centre, Hartford, on Saturday 3rd October.
An excellent turnout saw 90 Churchwardens join for the day.
Speakers from Church House led a series of helpful sessions on topics relevant to the Churchwarden role. Guest speaker, Michael Parish from Bowdon also gave an engaging talk on the important subject of cyber security.
The Archdeacons shared news about the generosity shown through the Archdeacons’ Visitation Services. A total of £2,658.29 was given, which has enabled the funding of 44 toilets in communities across countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nepal and Malawi, as well as others.
Booking is now open for the next Churchwarden training day, which will take place at St Peter’s, Elworth, on Saturday 16th October 2027.
